About Safe & Sound Wales
Safe & Sound Wales is a new online resource developed by non-profit Our Voice Our Journey and funded through the Welsh Government’s Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence programme.
The website supports parents and carers to take a preventative approach, including covering topics:
- understand issues affecting children and young people
- recognise signs that something may be wrong
- feel more confident starting important conversations
- access trusted advice and support
- find local and national services across Wales.
The site is designed around two simple starting points:
Support for parents and carers dealing with an immediate concern.
Advice, tools and conversation starters to help build understanding early.
Topics include:
- Gender-based violence and harmful behaviours
- Relationships and consent
- Online safety and harmful influences
- Emotional wellbeing and mental health
- Additional needs and trauma
